Foodbank 2020

CAMPAIGN

CHALLENGE:   

In September of 2014, the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank launched Foodbank 2020. This multi-tiered strategic plan aimed to provide access to enough food for everyone struggling with hunger in its 8-county service area. I was tasked with concepting and designing all campaign material, including a printed booklet, website, and environmental graphics.


ROLE:

Concept, art direction, design and execution.

My favorite part: making letters out of pancake batter.

SOLUTION:

In the spirit of no waste, I came up with the concept to use food donated by the Foodbank that was otherwise damaged or expired to create all visuals. In the same way the Foodbank uses food to speak to its community, I wanted to use food to speak the message of the campaign. I art directed photography, designed the printed booklet, created a wall graphic and laid out the UI of the website to ensure a cohesive voice and look throughout all materials.
